Cop found dead inside police station

SARRAT, Ilocos Norte - A police officer assigned at this town's Philippine National Police (PNP) station was found dead early Saturday.

Senior Police Officer 4 Dennis Juan, chief investigator of Sarrat PNP, identified the victim as Police Officer 1 Rodrigo Laventa Jr., 28, a native of Suyo town, Ilocos Sur.
 
Juan said the victim's lifeless body was discovered inside police station barracks around 6:10am.
 
Post mortem examination conducted by Dr. Jenniefer Valdez, municipal health officer, reveals that the cause of death is 'sudden unintended nocturnal death syndrome.'
 
Police said they have no reason to suspect foul play
