CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines – The city council of Tacloban in Leyte has approved a P391-million loan agreement for its development projects.
The council led by Vice Mayor Jerry Yaokasin authorized the contract with the Land Bank of the Philippines during its session last week.
The loan will be used for the rehabilitation of the slaughterhouse at P113 million; construction of drainage system, P192 million; and construction of sanitary landfill, P86 million.
The city government earlier allocated P60 million for its recovery projects in areas ravaged by Super Typhoon Yolanda.
