South Cotabato retiree claims P49.5-M lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines – A 73-year-old retiree from South Cotabato has claimed the jackpot of the 6/42 regular lotto drawn on Jan. 23, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

The winner, who is married and has 14 children, hit the six-digit winning combination 04-12-19-25-29-35, which has the jackpot of P49,562,348.

PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas said the winner, who has been playing lotto for 20 years now, plans to share his winnings with his children, buy a farm lot and save for his future needs.

The 6/42 Regular Lotto online game is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
