MANILA, Philippines — A 73-year-old retiree bettor from South Cotabato on Wednesday claimed the P49.5-million lottery jackpot from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in Quezon City, according to a report from the STAR.

The lucky bettor is also a father of 14 children. He told PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II that he is just trying his luck on bets for his children.

"Kahit matagal ay answered prayers naman," the lotto winner told Rojas.

The lotto winner won P49,562,348 for picking the winning number combination of 4-12-19-25-29-35 of the 6/42 lotto draw last January 23.
