Motorbike plunges into ravine; 3 dead

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines—Three persons were killed when their motorcycle fell into a ravine in San Fernando, Masbate on Wednesday afternoon.

Marvin Caparino, 16; Jaime Oliva, 43; and Rene Tugbo, 54, were on their way home when the accident occurred in Barangay Binitinan at 3:24 p.m., said Police Officer 2 Francisco Albaytar.

The victims were pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital.

In Sultan Mastura town in Maguindanao, 13 persons were seriously injured when a motorcycle and a passenger van rammed a truck parked along the highway.

The victims were brought to the Cotabato Regional Medical Center for treatment.– Celso Amo, John Unson
