2 other victims in fatal Tagaytay car crash identified

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities on Tuesday identified two of the remaining fatalities in the Tagaytay road mishap that occurred on Sunday morning.

According to a radio report, among the six minors killed in the vehicle crash were Lauren Calabines and Kirby Bokingo, who are both 16 years old.

Calabines was identified by Tagaytay City chief of police Superintendent Ferdinand Quirante as the driver of the red Toyota Vios.

The Toyota Vios with license plate AHA 5287 on Sunday morning collided into a concrete barrier and several trees along the highway in Tagaytay City due to alleged overspeeding. It later on burst into flames with six passengers trapped inside.

The four other minors killed in the accident were earlier identified as Ronalyn Bautista, 17; Jamie-Gubaton-Garcia, 16; John Paul Tena, 15; and John Rosel Garcia, 15. — Rosette Adel
