Cop charged for violating gun ban

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A police officer surrendered to his colleagues after a woman accused him of violating the gun ban imposed by the Commission on Elections in Nasugbu, Batangas on Saturday night.

The complaint against Police Officer 2 Jayson Ortizo of the Bauan police was filed by a certain Maricris Villaluna of Barangay 6.

Villaluna told police Ortizo fired his service firearm indiscriminately along R. Vasquez street at around 9 p.m.
