MANILA, Philippines – Mild quakes hit Occidental Mindoro and Negros Occidental yesterday and on Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said a magnitude 3.7 earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro at 10:12 p.m on Friday. The quake was felt at Intensity 2 in Puerto Galera. The epicenter of the quake was located at 20 kilometers northwest of Abra de Ilog in Occidental Mindoro.
A magnitude 3.4 quake struck Negros Occidental yesterday. The epicenter of the tremor, which struck at 10:36 a.m., was located at 21 kilometers northwest of Sipalay town.
