Couple hurt in gun attack

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A couple was wounded in a gun attack by motorcycle-riding men in Sitio Casitsitan in Barangay Minanga in San Mariano, Isabela on Friday night.

Jovelito Camba Jr., 52, and his wife Josephine, 54, principals of the Daragutan and Cataguing Elementary Schools, respectively, were on a motorcycle on their way home when the gunmen, who tailed them, shot them around 9:30 p.m., said Chief Inspector Arnold Bulan, San Mariano police chief.

Although wounded, Jovelito sped off to the nearest hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Police recovered seven bullet shells for a 9mm pistol at the scene.
