MANILA, Philippines - Agents of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested two Chinese men and seized 30 kilos of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City.
NCRPO director Joel Pagdilao identified those arrested as Geng Qing Chuan, 35 and Xiangfan Yao, 28, both residents of Ongpin, Binondo.
Pagdilao said the two suspected drug traffickers were arrested during the sting conducted at a condotel along Ramon Magsaysay Avenue, corner Araneta Avenue in Barangay Doña Imelda at about 9 a.m.
Aside from the shabu, police also seized a gray Toyota Innova van (TWQ-280) which was being used by the arrested suspects during the buy-bust.
Pagdilao said Wednesday’s buy-bust was part of the NCRPO’s intensive drive against illegal drugs in Metro Manila.
According to Pagadilao, NCRPO’s anti-drug special operations task group has confiscated some 31.197 kilograms of shabu with an estimated value of more than P90 million and has arrested 131 suspected drug traffickers in just two weeks of operation this month.
