MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a magnitude 6.4 earthquake that struck Davao Occidental early Tuesday.
The tremor with epicenter located 313 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental, occurred at 12:37 a.m. Its depth was recorded at 29 kilometers.
Phivolcs said the quake was felt at Intensity I in Alabel, Sarangani.
At 1:01 a.m., another magnitude 4.7 quake struck Sarangani, Davao Occidental as expected from the aftershock advisory of Phivolcs in its bulletin.
Aside from Sarangani, Davao Occidental; Urdaneta City, Pangasinan was also jolted by a magnitude 3.4 earthquake at 4:24 a.m., Tuesday.
All of the earthquakes reported were tectonic in origin.
Phivolcs said there were no damages from the three tremors.
