CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines – A graduate of a medical school in Tacloban City in Leyte was among three topnotchers in the Nursing Licensure Exam given by the Professional Regulations Commission on Nov. 29 and 30 last year.
Alyssa Claire Almo of Quinapondan, Eastern Samar shared the top spot with Suha Canlas Hassan Magdy Ibrahim and Alyssa May Madriaga with a score of 86.40 percent.
Almo is a graduate of the Remedios Trinidad Romualdez Medical Foundation, while Ibrahim and Madriaga finished their courses at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and University of Sto. Tomas (UST), respectively.
The PRC announced the result on Friday, saying 9,114 examinees, representing 49.26 percent of the 18,500 total passed the board exam.
UST, Mariano Marcos State University-Batac and Xavier University were the top performing schools in the November nursing examinations.
