LA TRINIDAD, Benguet, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) needs 20,000 more police officers to strengthen its anti-crime program this year.
The PNP is accepting qualified, competent and determined applicants for the position of Police Officer 1, and will conduct two recruitment cycles for 2016.
The first cycle is the PO1 regular recruitment program, which will start in February, and the second, the PO1 attrition recruitment program in June.
According to Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, spokesperson for the Cordillera police, applicants must be Filipino citizens with good moral character, 21 years old and above but not over 30, and at least one meter and 62 centimeters tall for males and one meter and 57 cm for females.
Applicants must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree from any recognized learning institution.
Applicants must not have been dishonorably dismissed from military or any government service, or convicted of any criminal offense and must have no pending criminal case in any court and the Office of the Ombudsman.
Application folders should be submitted to the regional personnel and human resource development division in all PNP offices nationwide.
