Ex-radioman dies in mishap

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato, Philippines – A former radio commentator died in a motorcycle crash in this city shortly before midnight Wednesday.

Romilo Sustituido of the defunct Super Radyo of GMA television network was on his way home from a meeting with broadcast journalists when he figured in the accident in Barangay Sto. Nino at around 11:45 p.m. 

Sustituido, who is supposed to celebrate his 38th birthday today, died at the scene.

Meanwhile, in Isabela, three members of a family died when their tricycle collided with a bus in Naguilian town.

Ricardo Malapit, his wife Rosalinda and their uncle Bernardo Saguiped, 67, were declared dead on arrival at the hospital, while their relative, Ernesto Duque, 45, who was driving the tricycle, was brought to the Governor Faustino Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital in Ilagan City.
