SC asked to rule on Delfin Lee case

Edu Punay - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Globe Asiatique president Delfin Lee yesterday asked the Supreme Court (SC) to decide on the petitions questioning the dismissal by the Court of Appeals of the syndicated estafa case filed against him.

Lee is seeking to have the arrest order issued by a Pampanga court quashed.

He said the petitions filed by the Department of Justice and the Home Mutual Development Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund should be dismissed for lack of merit.

Lee has been detained at the Pampanga provincial jail for almost two years now after the high court issued an injunction on one of the petitions.

The case against Lee stemmed from the alleged double sale of Globe Asiatic housing projects in Pampanga.
