DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – Seven towns and a city in Pangasinan will experience a 10-hour power interruption tomorrow, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) announced yesterday.
Power will be cut from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the towns of San Manuel, Binalonan, Pozorrubio, Laoac, Mapandan, Mangaldan, parts of Sison and Urdaneta City.
On the same day, the towns of San Jacinto, Manaoag and parts of San Fabian will have no power from 8 a.m. to noon and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The blackout will pave the way for the relocation of select transmission lines affected by the construction of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway.
The NGCP said it would conduct annual preventive maintenance and testing of power transformer in Mangaldan and replace wooden power posts along the San Manuel-Sapang 69-kiloVolt line segment.
