TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Two men were killed in separate gun attacks that marked the first three days of 2016 in Isabela province.
Senior Superintendent Leon Rafael, Isabela police director, said 48-year-old carpenter Wilfredo Bantigue was gunned down by motorcycle-riding men after leaving a cockpit in Barangay Barucboc, Quezon town Saturday. ?
Earlier, 25-year-old Jhon Laggui was shot dead by siblings Jomel and Melito Talaue, who used a 12-gauge shotgun in the attack. Investigators are looking into a family feud as a possible motive.
In San Isidro, Abra province, village councilman Ernesto Baro was arrested after reportedly shooting Reynaldo Singanay, 35, over a traffic altercation.
