Fair weather prevails on Sunday

Rosette Adel - Philstar.com
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said most parts of the country except northern Luzon will experience fair weather on Sunday.

Cagayan Valley and Aurora province will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains on Sunday while Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region will also experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

On the other hand, PAGASA said northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan” is  the dominant weather system affecting northern Luzon.

The northeast monsoon coming from China and Siberia, is associated with the Christmas season. It is the cold wind that blows in the country from late October until mid-February.

Meanwhile, the state bureau did not issue a gale warning and advised that fisherfolk are safe to venture in the sea since the coastal waters will be slight to moderate while the northern Luzon and Aurora province will have light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast.
