Emirates to resume operations at Clark airport

Ding Cervantes - The Philippine Star

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines –Emirates Airlines, the largest Middle East carrier, is reviving its operations at the Clark International Airport.

“Emirates will announce daily services on the Dubai-Cebu-Clark route within the next few days. Services will operate seven days a week from Dubai, serving Cebu then Clark and onto Dubai, in a circular pattern,” said Salem Obaidalla, the airline’s senior vice president on aeropolitical and industry affairs.

In a letter to Civil Aviation Board director Victor Jose Luciano, Obaidalla said they would start operations on March 30, 2016.

Emirates suspended its operations at Clark airport in May last year over jet fuel taxes and competition from other airlines.
