2 hurt in Samar NPA attack

SAN JORGE, Samar, Philippines – A soldier and a civilian were wounded when suspected New People’s Army rebels attacked an Army detachment in Barangay Erenas here on Tuesday night.
A report to the Philippine National Police in Region 8 said a 15-minute gunfire erupted after the rebels strafed the headquarters of the 43rd Infantry Battalion around 9 p.m.
The wounded were identified as a certain Private First Class Capitol and June Gobe.
