In viral video, Duterte warns criminals of 'last' Christmas

MANILA, Philippines  — Presidential hopeful Rodrigo Duterte came out with a warning to criminals that immediately became viral on social media, saying this will be their last Christmas.

"Alam ninyo ako'y tao parin, kaya binabati ko ng 'Merry Christmas' kayong mga durugista, magnanakaw, mga kurap, mga kriminal, at kayong nagpapahirap sa Pilipino," the Davao City mayor said in newly released a video advertisement.

The 30-second advertisement, hinting at what his presidency will be like, has gone viral on Facebook with over 75,000 shares and 52,000 likes as of Wednesday morning.

Duterte, the standard-bearer of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan party, is known for his iron-fisted stance against crime in his city.
