SUBIC FREEEPORT, Philippines – Five national government agencies have opened their satellite offices at a mall here in order to bring the services closer to port investors.

The satellite offices of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Internal Revenue, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Social Security System (SSS) and PhilHealth are now operational at the Harbor Point Mall, according to officials of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.

Investors need no longer travel to the regional offices of these agencies in San Fernando, Pampanga just to secure their requirements and documents.

DTI regional director Judith Angeles hopes to expand their office here by next year and be enrolled as a Negosyo Center.

Aside from Angeles, DILG regional director Florita Dijan, SSS assistant vice president Vilma Agapito and Harbor Point deputy operations manager Derrick Manuel led the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the start of their operations here.
