MANILA, Philippines - A retired soldier from Leyte has claimed the jackpot in the 6/42 Regular Lotto’s Nov. 14 draw,  the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

The 52-year-old winner picked the six-digit winning combination 02-14-15-19-21-31, which had a total jackpot prize of P33.4 million, PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II said.

A father of six, the winner said he got the combination from the birth dates of his children. He has been a lotto player in the last 15 years.

Rojas said the winner plans to buy a house and lot, invest in business and save for the future of his children.

Meanwhile the jackpot in the 6/49 Super Lotto is expected to hit P194 million for tonight’s draw, after nobody hit the winning combination last Sunday.

The winning combination during the last draw was 08-07-17-35-06-20 and had a total jackpot prize of P184.2 million.

Forty-seven other players won P46,000 each for guessing five of the six-digit winning combination.
