Inmate stabbed to death inside Bilibid
MANILA, Philippines – An inmate from the maximum security compound of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP), Muntinlupa City on Monday morning was killed by another inmate.
The victim, identified as Felicito Braga, was stabbed to death at Dorm 12-B around 1 a.m.
The incident report said his assailant was his cousin, Jonathan Braga.
Felicito was pronounced dead on arrival at the NBP Hospital.
The authorities are still investigating the motive behind the killing.
The stabbing incident was not the first one recorded inside the maximum security compound. There were also two stabbing incidents reported last October.
Aside from stabbing incidents, there was also an inmate shot dead inside the maximum security compound of NBP.
The Bureau of Corrections is continuously conducting raids as part of its "Oplan Galugad" to prevent illegal activities and get rid of contrabands in NBP.
