MANILA, Philippines - An auditor of the Commission on Audit has been suspended for habitual tardiness.

Llane Saratan of COA Region 6 was found guilty of simple misconduct by the Office of the Ombudsman.

Saratan’s daily time record showed she reported late to work some days in January, February, October, November and December 2011.

Deputy Ombudsman for the Visayas Paul Elmer Clemente tasked the director of COA Region 6 to implement the suspension order.

The ombudsman also admonished the administrative head of COA Region 6 for failing to act on Saratan’s tardiness.
