CLARK FREEPORT, Philippines  – Parts of Pampanga, including this freeport, will experience a 12-hour power interruption on Dec. 1, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) announced yesterday.

Parts of Mabalacat City and the municipalities of Arayat, Mexico and Magalang which are being served by the Pampanga Electric Cooperative (Pelco) 1 and 2, Pampanga Rural Electric Service Cooperative Inc. and Clark Electric Distribution Corp. would be affected by the blackout, said NGCP regional corporate communications and public affairs chief Ernest Lorenzo.

He said the power outage would allow for annual preventive maintenance of the Mexico substation and the Mexico-Clark line 1 and 2 60-kiloVolt line, as well as the transfer of Pelco 2-Mabiga load.

The blackout will start at 7 a.m.
