Davao bombing suspect sketch released

The Philippine Star

DAVAO CITY – Authorities yesterday released a sketch of the suspect in the bombing of a passenger van here on Wednesday that wounded at least one person.

The suspect was described as between 35 to 40 years old,  wearing a black jacket, denim pants and a black bull cap.

A task group headed by Davao City police director Senior Superintendent Vicente Danao was formed to investigate the bombing.

Tata Besanas, the van dispatcher, was wounded when he checked a bag that was left unattended after all its passengers had alighted.

Van driver Herman Daag told police the explosion occurred after the three remaining passengers had alighted. He said a male passenger alighted in front of the terminal while the other two got off inside the terminal.
