MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 3.4 earthquake hit parts of Negros Oriental yesterday, but did not cause any damage, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The quake occurred at 9:20 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 18 kilometers southwest of Luzurriaga in Valencia, Negros Oriental.
It was felt at Intensity 4 in Valencia town, Intensity 3 in Dumaguete City and Intensity 2 in Sibulan.
Phivolcs said no damage from the quake or aftershocks were expected.
