KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – The police will today criminal charges against a family of four arrested over the weekend for circulating shabu in Santo Niño, South Cotabato.
Suspects Raymundo Faucbit and his children, Raymund, Nonoy and Mitch, are now detained at the Santo Niño municipal police detention facility, awaiting prosecution.
The suspects were arrested by a team that raided their hideout in Barangay Little Baguio southeast of Surallah, while preparing methamphetamine hydrochloride, most known as shabu, for dispersal in their barangay and surrounding peasant enclaves.
Chief Inspector Joel Fuerto of the Santo Niño municipal police said the suspects will be charged with violation of the Philippine Dangerous Drugs Act.
Fuerto said the Faocbits were arrested with the help of barangay folks and local officials.
The raiding team had also recovered firearms in their hideout, according to Fuerto.
He said they will also prosecute the Faocbits for possession of unlicensed guns.
