Woman killed over videoke
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A woman was killed while her son was wounded when their neighbor stabbed them over the noise generated by a videoke session at their residence in Dasmariñas City, Cavite on Wednesday afternoon.
Neria Recilla died while being treated at the St. Paul Hospital, according to city police chief Superintendent Joseph Arguelles.
Recilla’s son, Elpidio Jr., 27, was rushed to the UMC hospital for treatment of a stab wound in the leg.
Police arrested Diogenes Salaudin hours after the incident that occurred at around 5 p.m. in Barangay Sampaloc 4.
Reports said the suspect complained of the noise coming from the house of the Recillas, whose visitors were having a videoke session.
Salaudin reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Neria and Elpidio, who tried to protect his mother.
Police said the Recilla clan and the Salaudins have a standing feud, but did not mention its cause.
