4 dead in Pampanga gun attack
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Five motorcycle-riding assailants strafed a group of men who were having a drinking spree, killing four of them and wounding three others in Arayat, Pampanga on Monday night.
The fatalities were identified as Jerry Calma, 23; Reymart Lampasa, 17; Nelson Soriano, 17, and Ronald Alan Lumbang, 23, all of Barangay San Juan Banio.
Calma, Lampasa and Soriano died at the scene while Lumbang was declared dead on arrival at the Holy Trinity Luma Hospital in Arayat.
Injured were Billy Pineda, 24; Aljun Manlapat, 20, and Arjon Cortez, 19. They were taken to the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Hospital in San Fernando City for treatment.
The victims were having a drinking session in front of a house in Barangay San Juan Banio, when the suspects pulled over and opened fire at them, Pampanga police director Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Recomono Jr. said.
Police recovered bullet shells for an M16 rifle at the crime scene.
Investigators have yet to determine the motive for the attack.
