Woman found dead at Batangas hotel
BATANGAS, Philippines – A woman was found dead with several stab wounds at a hotel in Batangas City on Wednesday morning.
Sharalyn Paras of Barangay Alangilan, Batangas City, was found in a room of the Empress Garden Hotel located in Barangay Soro-Soro at around 6:30 a.m., according to a report submitted to Batangas police director Senior Superintendent Omega Jireh Fidel.
Based on the statements of hotel employees, Paras arrived at around 4:30 a.m. in a tricycle driven by an unidentified man with another male passenger.
Witnesses said the woman checked in alone in Room 11.
Minutes later, the male passenger returned to the hotel and went to Room 11. The man was seen leaving the area at around 6 a.m.
Room attendants found the woman with several stab wounds in the chest.
Police recovered the victim’s mobile phone in the room.
