Campaign vs human trafficking launched

Ramon Efren Lazaro - The Philippine Star

BULACAN, Philippines – A multi-sectoral movement against human trafficking was launched in San Jose del Monte City in this province yesterday.

The launch, held at the Grotto Vista in Graceville Subdivision, was attended by village officials, teachers and representatives from the religious sector, the local police and civil society groups.

Susan Ople, president of the Blas F. Ople Policy Center, said the launch was timely as the center has received requests for repatriation from distressed overseas Filipino workers.

The Blas F. Ople Policy Center is a non-profit organization that assists victims of human trafficking. It will continue to seek new partners to raise public awareness about human trafficking.

Those interested to link up with the Blas F. Ople Policy Center for anti-human trafficking seminars may contact 833-5337 or write to [email protected].
