ANGELES CITY, Philippines – Nine areas in Nueva Ecija and five in Aurora will experience five to 10-hour power interruptions on Oct. 3, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) announced yesterday.
These areas include Palayan City and the towns of Talavera, Natividad, Llanera, Bongabon, Gabaldon, Laur, Rizal and portions of Sto. Domingo, all in Nueva Ecija; and Dingalan, San Luis, Maria Aurora, Baler and Dipaculao, all in Aurora.
The NGCP said power transmission facilities would be shut down from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in these areas.
The blackout will pave the way for the repair of a power transformer at the Cabanatuan substation and maintenance works along the Cabanatuan-Baler 69-kiloVolt line.
On the same day, power will be cut from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. in San Isidro, Gapan, San Antonio, Jaen and Cabiao, all in Nueva Ecija. – Ding Cervantes, Ric Sapnu
