The Philippine Star

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – A 61-year-old woman killed her husband by hitting him with a frying pan on the head following a quarrel over household chores in Baguio City, police said yesterday.

Cyril Capis, 67, of 112 Lower Pinget, was declared dead on arrival at the Pines Doctors’ Hospital on Monday, according to case investigator Senior Police Officer 1 Michael Anthony Quela.

The victim’s wife, Caridad, was charged with parricide before the city prosecutor’s office.

Reports said the couple had just woken up at past 5 a.m. when they argued on who was going to cook breakfast and wash the dishes.

Cyril reportedly punched his wife on the jaw. Caridad reportedly took a frying pan and hit the man, causing him to lose consciousness. – Artemio Dumlao, Cecille Suerte Felipe
