CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Three alleged drug traffickers were arrested and 476.4 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P500,000 were seized in a police operation in Sariaya, Quezon on Tuesday.
Reysol Paderon, the alleged leader of the group, and Francia Concepcion and Roderick Remo were charged with possession of illegal drugs yesterday, said Senior Superintendent Ronaldo Ylagan, Quezon police director.
Ylagan said Concepcion and Remo were arrested at their hideout in Sitio Silangan Beach, Barangay Guis-Guis at 4:30 p.m. based on a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 29-32 Judge Agripino Morga.
Police also recovered drug paraphernalia, assorted jewelry and several guns.
Ylagan said the suspects were in the watch list of Quezon police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 4A. – Ed Amoroso, Michelle Zoleta
