LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – Three bodies, two of them believed to be victims of summary execution, have been found in separate areas in this province.
Two of the victims – identified as Rodrigo Valeña, 34, and Sonny Boy Atinde – were found near a chapel in Barangay Sta. Maria in Binalonan town on Wednesday.
Valeña’s and Atinde’s heads and faces were wrapped with packaging tape and their bodies bore several stab wounds.
Investigators believe the victims were killed somewhere else and dumped in the area.
The third body was found floating in the Agno River in Agno town on the same day.
The victim was described to be wearing a striped T-shirt and a pair of shorts, with a sweatshirt wrapped around his waist.
