PCSO donates 18 ambulances to Ilocos provinces
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has turned over 18 ambulances to local government units in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and La Union.
PCSO general manager Ferdinand Rojas II and board members Betty Nantes, Pancho Joaquin and Mabel Mamba led the turnover ceremonies attended by local officials led by Ilocos Sur Gov. Ryan Luis Singson, Rep. Eric Singson and the chiefs of hospitals in the region.
Rojas said seven ambulances were given to Pagudpud, Vintar, Marcos, Solsona, San Nicolas and Piddig towns and Batac City in Ilocos Norte.
Nine ambulances were given to the towns of Suyo, Caoayan, Santo Domingo, Santa Maria, Sinait, Banayoyo, San Esteban and Nagbukel in Ilocos Sur while Bangar and Luna towns in La Union got one each.
Rojas also turned over a P5-million endowment fund for the La Union Medical Center, La Union Medical Center (P2 million) and Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital (P3 million).
Rojas said LGUs would also get their share of lotto sales in their respective localities.
