4 drug suspects slain in shootout

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines  – An alleged big time drug dealer and his three accomplices were killed in an encounter with police officers in Norzagaray, Bulacan yesterday.

The fatalities were identified by their aliases as Santi, Lotlot, Dindo and Deck, according to Chief Superintendent Rudy Lacadin, chief of the Police Regional Office 3.

Lacadin said the shootout erupted during a drug sting conducted by the Norzagaray police in Barangay Minuyan.

He said Sati, said to be the town’s top drug supplier, is included in the watch list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

The officers recovered from the suspects a .22  and a .38 caliber pistols, two homemade shotguns, a hand grenade, an undetermined amount of shabu, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  – With Ramon Efren Lazaro
