TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – An employee of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and a manager of a financial cooperative reportedly committed suicide in separate incidents in Ilocos Sur on Tuesday. ?
The body of Cynthia Mina, 46, which bore stab wounds, was found in her room in Barangay Mckinley.
Police Officer 3 Lorenzo Cariaga said Mina reportedly thought of committing suicide because of her heart disease.
In Candon City, the body of Raymond Manzano, 30, branch manager of the Sacred Heart Savings Cooperative, was found hanging on a tree with a belt looped around his neck.
Investigators found an empty can of insecticide at the scene.
