Pilot, student killed in Bulacan trainer plane crash

MANILA, Philippines - A pilot and his student were killed after their trainer plane crashed at the end of runway 35 in Plaridel Airport in Bulacan on Tuesday.

The pilot in command Capt. Arthur Rebollido and student pilot James Oquialda were rushed to the Bulacan Provincial Hospital in Malolos town after being rescued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

Rebollido died while on the way to the hospital while Oquialda died at around midnight after being transferred to the Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Pulilan town.

According to reports from the CAAP, a C152 type trainer aircraft crash-landed at 4:46 p.m. on Tuesday.

The plane was a total wreck when it was found. It was performing a touch-and-go at Plaridel Airport from 4:00 p.m to 4:46 p.m., according to a report.
