CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Police arrested on Monday four men tagged in the killing of a seaman whose body was found in Tagaytay City, Cavite last month.
Christopher Kyle Ernie, 31; Ariston Jimena, 36; Paulo Hernandez, 35, and Raquino Ornagap Jr. were collared in Barangay Langkaan, Dasmariñas City at past 1:30 p.m.
Cavite police director Senior Superintendent Eliseo Cruz said they recovered from the suspects the sport utility vehicle of Arnest John Agbayani, who was found hogtied and wrapped in a car cover in a remote area in Tagaytay City on Aug. 18.
Agbayani’s parents identified the Subaru Forester Wason (AIA-3465) as the one owned by their son.
Cruz said they were waiting for a witness to identify the suspects in a police line-up.
The car was repainted from blue to black, but the engine and other parts of the vehicle were intact.
The suspects, who were in the car, were pulled over by members of the Dasmariñas police in Sitio Humayao.
During the inspection, police found in the vehicle a 9mm pistol, three plastic sachets said to contain shabu, drug paraphernalia and a sketch of a map showing the location of the suspect’s supposed targets.
Agbayani was reported missing by his parents in Angono town in Rizal after he failed to return home.
He was last seen leaving home in his car on Aug. 13.
