4 hurt in Sultan Kudarat clash
SULTAN KUDARAT, Philippines – Four persons were wounded when armed villagers and members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) clashed in Lutayan town in this province on Wednesday.
Local officials urged the MILF to restrain the group of a certain “Commander Guiamandin,” who, along with his followers, raided Barangay Bayasong.
Village chief Falcon Bansil was among the four men wounded in the encounter. The three others were watchmen Dorin Manunutok, Buxoy Galindo and Salakib Norodin.
They were rushed to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.
Investigators said Guiamandin is a field commander of the MILF’s 109th Base Command, which operates at the border of Lutayan and Buluan towns.
