MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude-3.5 earthquake rocked parts of the Visayas and Mindanao on Saturday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said yesterday.
The tremor, which occurred at 9:49 p.m., was located some 20 kilometers southeast of Maria town in Siquijor.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Maria, Lazi, Enrique, Villanueva and Larena, all in Siquijor, and Intensity 2 in Tagbilaran City in Bohol, Dipolog and Dapitan City in Zamboanga del Norte, and Dauin, Sibulan, and Dumaguete City, all in Negros Oriental.
No aftershock was expected from the quake.
