Northern Mindanao’s most wanted man nabbed in Tagaytay

Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – A man, who has been wanted in Northern Mindanao for the past 12 years, was arrested in a police operation in Tagaytay City last Friday.

Rudy Flores, 32, who is facing double murder charges, did not resist when he was arrested near a grocery store in Barangay San Jose at past 10 a.m.

Flores is the principal suspect in the killing of Felimon Magsayo and his daughter in Iligan City on Nov. 30, 2003, said Chief Superintendent Fernando Mendez, director of the Intelligence Group.

Mendez said Flores fled Iligan when Lanao del Norte Regional Trial Court Branch 6 Judge Valerio Salazar issued a warrant for his arrest in 2004.

In 2006, the Department of the Interior and Local Government offered a P200,000 reward for the capture of the suspect.
