BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – The 3rd Infantry Division (ID) of the Army promoted 1,920 soldiers of Panay, Negros and Guimaras islands.
The pinning of ranks on 940 corporals, 580 sergeants, 293 staff sergeants, 57 technical sergeants and 50 master sergeants was held at Camp Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz on Friday.
Major Ray Tiongson, head of the 3rd ID public affairs office, said the soldiers were selected after complying with the requirements set by the Army’s promotion system.
Tiongson said promotion comes with a corresponding increase in pay and allowances.
