Bulacan quake drill set

Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will conduct an earthquake preparedness drill in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan today.

The drill, which is similar to the Metro Manila Shake Drill last July 30, will start at 7 a.m. with  the ringing of church bells and sirens.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said the MMDA would evaluate city personnel as they conduct simulated evacuation, fire drill and rescue operations.

A map of the Valley Fault System released by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and and Seismology showed the West Valley Fault transects portions of Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray and San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan.
