5 dead in Isabela road mishaps

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Five persons died in separate vehicular accidents involving motorcycles in Gamu town and Santiago City, both in Isabela province over the weekend.

Businessman Noel Alaska, 41, and Noel Tagangin, 66, died after their motorcycles collided at past 8 p.m. in Gamu, town police chief Senior Inspector George Maribbay said.

Meanwhile, three unidentified men died when their motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle in Santiago City.

City police director Senior Superintendent Alexander Santos said the victims reportedly tried to overtake another vehicle, but they slammed into a Nissan Safari driven by Joan Calub.
