Quakes rock Bohol

MANILA, Philippines - Two mild earthquakes rocked Bohol in the past two days, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said yesterday.

Phivolcs said a magnitude-3.1 tremor occurred 34 kilometers northwest of San Miguel town at 3:55 a.m. yesterday.

The quake was felt at Intensity 3 in Talibon town and Intensity 2 in San Miguel.

On Wednesday, a magnitude-3.9 quake also struck 17 kilometers southwest of San Miguel at 7:46 p.m.

It was felt at Intensity 3 in Siera-Bullones town and Intensity 2 in San Miguel and Carmen.

Phivolcs said no damage or aftershock was expected from the quakes.
