ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines  – An alleged intelligence officer of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) eluded arrest during an anti-drug operation, which resulted in the capture  of his two companions in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte on Wednesday.

Inspector Dahlan Samuddin, information officer of the Police Regional Office 9, identified the MNLF officer as Muksin Batulla and the arrested suspects as Botchoy Daud and Aldazer Sapurani.

Batulla ranked second in the municipal police drug list, according to Chief Inspector Joseph Maulad, acting chief of the Siocon police.

Reports said Batulla escaped, leaving behind his two companions, after sensing the presence of police officers who conducted a drug sting at his home in Barangay Bucana.
